Michael Hoopingarner

Hi My name is Michael Hoopingarner obviously. I guess the best way to tell you about myself would be to first tell you about where I come from. I was born in Salt Lake City Utah where the snow is considered some of the best on Earth. Atleast that's what the license plate says. My parents were in the ski industry and so as you could probably guess skiing became a real passion for me at a young age. We bounced around a bit when I was younger from ski area to ski area and finally ended up in Truckee California. It was a great place to grow up. Beautiful mountains, lakes and streams outlining town for miles and miles. Their were endless outdoor adventures to be had.

After high school I decided to attend Monterey Peninsula College. The two years  I spent there where amazing. I scored a job at Pebble Beach as a customer service representative. What an experience that was. Once I earned my degree I transfered to Chico State and am a Recreation Administration major. Once graduated I plan to travel for an extended amount of time. I don't know where yet, but I know that it's something I have to do. There's so much to see.

 English 353 sounds like a very interesting course to take and it's apart of my upper division theme. I've taken American Literature before and two other required english courses and did fairly well. I hope to do well in this class.
